Jennifer brings a commitment to healthcare planning and design developed during her seven years of professional experience in healthcare design, planning, programming, and production. She has been involved in a range of project scales and locales, working regionally on community hospitals and internationally on Saudi Arabia’s largest medical center. Additionally, her skill and interest lies in the design and research of carbon-neutral, environmentally sensitive structures adding a great depth to the sustainable concepts and details in her design approach.
Along with professional practice, Jennifer is interested in engaging in practitioner research, targeted at evidence-based design and sustainability. At Cannon Design she participates on teams conducting healthcare environmental research and worked most recently as a research assistant on Building Envelopes: An Integrated Approach by Jenny Lovell, Princeton Architectural Press.
A graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, Master in Architecture with honors, Jennifer was the recipient of the William Tao Award for excellence in building systems integration in her master’s work. This summer she is working on a public art project, Wings in the City, sponsored by BJC Healthcare in St. Louis, MO benefiting Pediatric Palliative and Hospice care. The piece, a large butterfly sculpture, is 1 of 50 that will be painted and auctioned to benefit the expressive arts program.
She is currently pursuing licensure in the State of Missouri.
