Asha- Thanks so much! This has been a wonderful experience. I hope the children get to come back and see their handprints!!! For me that will be one of the best parts! I started placing prints on the butterfly a few nights ago. I'll post some more pictures so you can see the progress!! I can't wait to meet everyone in October!

Jen ---

I can't wait to see your butterfly! I am part of the Wings in the City Steering Committee and I am so impressed by everything you have done and are doing!
It is so great to have you part of this - you are clearly talented, but in addition, have such a generous spirit to have come up with this idea in the first place and then to make it a reality by going to the Stepping Stones Camp. I heard you were a huge hit!!!! This butterfly is going to be so special....
Looking forward to meeting you at the October events!!!!

You made some good points there. I did a search on the topic and hardly found any specific details on other sites, but then great to be here, seriously, thanks...

Building Design and Construction |

Many people I have spoken to recommend taking the Building Design and Construction Exam first. It is the most comprehensive. Given it is my first test, and I will most likely over-study, I feel this is a good place to start.

Study Guides Used:
Kaplan's 2009 Building Design and Construction Systems Book (Borrowed from firm)

Additional Resources:
Engineered Wood Construction Manual
http://www.apawood.org/pdfs/managed/E30.pdf?CFID=7081378&CFTOKEN=31789751

Conventional Wood Framing Details
http://www.awc.org/pdf/WCD1-300.pdf

Masonry Details (Personal Copy)

Test Scheduled: 8 February 2010
